Maryland Cannabis Administration issues recall for Hi Color Max Chocolate Milk products

advertisement

The Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) has issued a recall of certain cannabis products after they failed safety compliance testing due to the presence of total coliforms, a potential bacterial contaminant. Patients and caregivers are advised to check their products for the METRC number and production batch number, which can be found on the product label under the name of the dispensary where it was purchased.

The affected products, all Hi Color Max Chocolate Milk, were sold at multiple Maryland dispensaries, including Green Goods (Baltimore and Rockville locations), Mana (Edgewater), Summit Wellness (Catonsville), Kip Dispensary (Cockeysville), The Apothecarium (Salisbury), Green Point Dispensary (Laurel, Linthicum, Millersville), and Caroline Pharma (Federalsburg). Sale dates range from July 5, 2025, through September 15, 2025, depending on the location.

Patients and caregivers in possession of these products should return them to the dispensary where purchased for proper disposal. Those experiencing any adverse reactions should contact the MCA at Public.Health.MCA@maryland.gov or submit a report using the official incident reporting form. For a full list of affected products and METRC numbers, patients should refer to the official MCA recall notification.
