A full breakdown of new D.C. retail cannabis licenses

It’s been almost eight months since D.C. opened its medical cannabis market to new retail applicants. The Outlaw analyzed documents from The Alcohol Beverage and Cannabis Administration from Nov. 1, 2023 to July 2024, to see who is making up the District’s new cannabis market expansion.

It is important to note that a little over 40 additional licenses are available in the current standard retail application period that closes Aug. 29, 2024 which are not included in this analysis. ABCA is still processing additional social equity and unlicensed applications. These findings are preliminary and do not represent the entire picture of the future market.
